Twin Peaks Reboot: 10 Biggest Rumours You Need To Know

7. There's Going To Be 18 Episodes

The announcement that Twin Peaks would be returning divided fans into two main groups; those who didn't want the show to come back at all, and those who were disappointed that it would only be for a limited series. The first official announcement confirmed that the show was only set for nine episodes. Considering that the first season only ran for eight, this shouldn't have been that much of a surprise. But the idea of bringing back a 25 year old show for such a short series was disappointing. But in May Lynch confirmed that the new series would consist of eighteen episodes. Showtime bosses have also stated that the return of Twin Peaks will be "even bigger than we expected" has led to speculation that the future of the show will go above and beyond its initial outing in 2016. After all, the second season clocked in at 22 episodes, nearly three times more than the first, so it's anyone's guess exactly how big the new show will be, and how many seasons it could last for if the initial run proves successful.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
