The Walking Dead: 15 Stupid Decisions Lori Grimes Would Be Proud Of

4. Carol Kills Karen And David ("Infected")

With Season 4, there has been no more divisive topic among fans than the killings of Karen and David, a crime to which Carol confessed. Was it murder or mercy? Was Carol right or wrong? Did Carol do the killing herself, or is she covering for somebody else? Was Rick right or wrong to send her away? Even now, 4 months and 9 episodes later, Carol's role in Karen's and David's deaths remains a subject of heated debate. One thing that most can agree upon, however, is that Carol had only good intentions. Still, the best intentions do not change the fact that killing Karen and David was a really stupid decision. One does not require extensive medical training to know that disposing of the two sickest individuals will not do much stop an already-spreading infection. Furthermore, for all of the fuss that everybody made about wearing face masks and gloves in the company of the sick, Carol wasn't exactly shy about making a bloody mess throughout the quarantined area and wandering all over the prison, handling the water supply and interacting with everybody else. She even let Tyreese attack both Daryl and Rick without coming forward herself. Not cool, Carol. Not cool. Also, she totally wasted gas by burning the bodies. And yes, I realise it's up for debate whether she actually did it, despite her confession. However, until they plainly unmask a different perp with incontrovertible evidence (the smart money's on Lizzie) we're taking this at face value.
