The Walking Dead: 15 Stupid Decisions Lori Grimes Would Be Proud Of
11. Jimmy Forgets To Lock The Door ("Beside The Dying Fire")
In the Season 2 finale, we see a horde of Walkers march on the Greene farm, attracted by the gunshots from Rick's and Shane's final showdown. Rick and Carl and are chased to the barn, which they set on fire to draw the Walkers away from the house. Their plan works, to a degree; many Walkers do change direction and head toward the flames. What doesn't work out as well is the fact that Rick and his son are trapped with a burning barn at their backs and a swarm of Walkers below. Fortunately, Jimmy comes to the rescue, bravely driving Dale's RV into the middle of the horde and up to the side of the barn so that the Grimes boys could jump onto the roof and escape. Way to go, Jimmy! Way to prove your mettle! Or so it seemed for the four seconds between his saving of Rick and his being devoured by zombies because he neglected to lock the RV door. Seriously. There's not even a struggle. The Walkers just lean against the door until it opens. Young Jimmy doesn't have time to realize how foolish he was to not properly seal the only barrier protecting him from dozens of flesh-hungry Walkers before he is ripped apart and eaten alive. Oops?
