WandaVision: 5 MCU Characters We Could See

Marvel's Phase 4 begins with a reality-bending Disney+ series where ANYTHING can happen...

After the events of Avengers: Endgame, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe knew that the door was open for more characters than ever before to join the current roster of heroes on the silver screen. WandaVision presents an excellent opportunity to begin introducing fans of the MCU to lesser-known characters, as well as beginning the push towards Phase Four.

It had been over a year since the last MCU release when WandaVision dropped and fans have since been clamouring for their first hint of what's to come. Marvel Studios' first project of the new year is their first Disney+ series, featuring the MCU's odd couple in a nine-episode series which has already boggled the minds of MCU fans around the world.

Besides the titular characters, there have not been any other major players of Marvel introduced in WandaVision (as of yet). The series has the chance to bring classic Marvel characters to the front of the audience's minds, including both well-known and obscure heroes and villains from Marvel Comics that may change the MCU as we know it.

5. Doctor Strange

The first appearance we could see in this series is none other than the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Stephen Strange. His second film is scheduled for release in 2022 and Wanda Maximoff is due to appear alongside the titular hero in the Multiverse of Madness. With Maximoff scheduled to be in this movie, it would make sense for her series on Disney+ to begin the path towards that big-screen event.

Many MCU fans and theorists have discussed the potential of the second Doctor Strange movie being an adaptation of the Marvel Comics' story, House of M. This involves Maximoff losing her mind after her children are taken away from her, which then causes her to create her own, 'perfect' reality. This, in turn, begins to create problems in the main reality (Earth-616) that the Avengers and the X-Men have to deal with.

The only contentious issue is whether he would appear in a short scene - just enough to make the audience aware of the wider implications - or whether the 'Sorcerer Supreme' would be granted a longer amount of screentime.

It would make sense for Strange to make a brief cameo appearance in this series, as it would help connect the first Disney+ series to the wider MCU and begin to build hype for the second solo outing for the Master of the Mystic Arts.
