WandaVision: 8 HUGE Questions Going Into The Finale

2. What Powers Does 'The Scarlet Witch' Have?

Episode eight saw Agatha walk Wanda through the trials and traumas of her past in order to confirm her own suspicion and theory that she was a witch from birth, but with dormant powers that, if not for her exposure to the Mind Stone, would have ultimately died out.

When Wanda was given the full force of the Infinity Stone, there was a silhouette of the Scarlet Witch seen coming towards her, suggesting that Agatha's theory was correct. This certainly echoes something similar to the Dark Phoenix, and could ultimately be the MCU's equivalent to the mutant gene, but there was something curious about her accusation.

Agatha called her 'The' Scarlet Witch. While in the comics this is Wanda's superhero name, this suggests that in the MCU The Scarlet Witch is an established title known to Agatha already, and potentially other sorcerers like Doctor Strange.

Clearly this is a myth of sorts that Agatha has known about for a long time, but what exactly does it mean? Is Wanda the first Scarlet Witch, or have others carried the mantle in the past? What other powers is Wanda afforded by the Chaos Magic she is able to use? If she can create such a magical marvel as the Hex without even thinking, and craft a fully functioning, vibranium husband from nothing, what could she do if she actually put her mind to it?
