Westworld Season 2: 10 Biggest Twists, Theories & Questions From 'Journey Into Night'

4. Why Delos Is Collecting Human DNA

The drone hosts aren't just there to creep us (and Bernard) out, although they do that very well, but to perform important functions, including collecting the DNA of those who visit the park. Yes, even from the pubic region.

Delos are recording the DNA of their guests, but to what end?

Most of the guests are rich and powerful people, so are Delos collecting this as some sort of insurance policy or leverage, should it ever be needed? Or perhaps it's for medical research?

The other, even bigger possibility, is that they're keeping the DNA for the possibility of cloning their guests. Since it's not the reason people are going to Westworld, though, it's not like some kind of setup like that in The Island, where copies are kept in case someone gets ill or injured, but for Delos' own ends that could be replacing high-profile people with hosts they control.
