Westworld Season 2: 10 Crucial Things That MUST Happen
3. More New Worlds Must Feature
The wild frontiers of Westworld are by no means the only sleek, android-inhabited playgrounds available to deep-pocketed customers. Any corporation with the capabilities, funds and imagination of Delos Incorporated would surely experiment with all kinds of landscapes, as per the ever-changing demands of the consumer.
Of course, the biggest clue as to specifics of one such new sister park is the array of samurai attire spotted on a shadowy floor in the first season finale. Such a tantalising nugget wasn’t included for no reason; it’s a clear indication of where we’ll be heading next.
But don’t expect shoguns and painted faces to be the extent of new surroundings in season two. With that unrivalled attention to detail and capacity for escapism on offer, HBO has the opportunity to essentially present multiple period shows in one via its well-crafted and hugely diverse worlds.
What tickles your fancy? Westworld? Shogun World? How about Roman World, or Medieval World? These were possibilities already teased by series showrunner Jonathan Nolan, and would surely be just as enthralling as what we’ve already seen.
If Roman World would be anything like HBO’s long-dead Rome, it’d be a winner.
