The dynamic presence of Sir Anthony Hopkins kept viewers glued to the screen whenever Westworld founder Dr Robert Ford appeared. Though he was last seen getting a bullet to the head, courtesy of Dolores, the unique structure of Westworld means we’ve far from seen the last of him.
With acres of backstory yet to be explored, there’s ample room for flashbacks to fill in the blanks of the park’s early days when all this was just building. To better illuminate the specifics of Ford’s objectives, it’s necessary to see what he was envisioning during the dawn of Westworld’s development.
Aside from playing around more with timelines, fans have already prepared themselves for coming twists in the tale. Dr Ford has seemed to be one step ahead of everyone else at any given time throughout the story, culminating with his own plans being set into motion via his apparent death.
Does Ford himself have more surprises in store? If the revelation of a Host Ford were to appear at any point, it would be just one twist among many, leaving few surprised that the writers of Westworld would have the audacity to pull it.
