Guillermo de la Cruz, Nandor's familiar, acts as the only human in the main cast, much to his dismay. He's dedicated ten years of his life to serving Nandor in hopes of one day becoming a vampire himself. However, Nandor has yet to grant this request.

What's worse for Guillermo is the fact that he turns out to be an exceptional vampire killer. After discovering he has Van Helsing ancestry, he realizes the threat he poses to Nandor and the rest of the vampires. Throughout the show, he accidentally kills several vampires, including Baron Afanas. Though Guillermo remains traumatized at each accidental kill, it's hard not to laugh as he unintentionally turns an immortal being to dust.

The best part of Guillermo's character is his sweetness. Despite leading several humans to their deaths, and killing several vampires, he always has a smile on his face. In spite of everything, Guillermo is a really nice person, making his role in the vampires' lives all the funnier.
