Young Justice: Outsiders - 4 Ups & 2 Downs From The Season 3 Finale

1. Ending Darkseid's Involvement Too Early

Of all the great storylines running throughout this season, it was Darkseid's outside interference that proved to be the most interesting as it seemed like the writers were building towards him finally getting actively involved towards the conclusion - which, given Granny's constant presence, made complete sense.

Unfortunately, that storyline was dealt with early-on in the finale, as the first of the three episodes saw Halo and Cyborg overcome the odds to foil his and Granny's plan to form the Anti-Life Equation. While that was indeed the best instalment in the three-part finale, it meant that the Markovian meta-human trafficking/Markov family drama once again took centre stage which, in all honesty, just wasn't as interesting.

Outside of Wally's surprise return, the rest of the finale just couldn't live up to the team's space showdown with Granny Goodness and the decision to deal with the Darkseid stuff immediately rendered both Granny and Darkseid useless to the remainder of the season - which, considering we were hoping to see the latter actually make his presence felt, just feels like a major misfire.
