10 Amazing UFC Fights You Must Watch In February
1. Paul Felder Vs. Dan Hooker - UFC Fight Night 168
Following impressive wins over James Vick and Edson Barboza, top UFC lightweight Paul Felder has put himself right back in the mix for a title shot. However, he's got a very difficult task standing in front of him in surging Australian and well-rounded finisher, Dan Hooker.
Usually when you've got two mixed martial artists who're as attack-orientated as Felder and Hooker, we'd class it as an all-action fight. If you've been following these monthly previews for awhile, you'll know we love nothing more and that these are the type of battles that we love to highlight, but this fight is so much more than that.
Both men have vicious, yet extremely smart kickboxing skills. If you watch any of their prior fights, they're constantly setting up traps for their opponent, waiting for them to fall into them so they can land a potential kill shot. That being said, they're also savvy enough to not just wing punches. If anything, it could turn into an extremely technical brawl between these two.
Felder did show a new aspect of his ever-evolving MMA game during his last bout, taking Barboza down and landing shots from the top position. While it was a nice surprise, Hooker is a far more dynamic submission artist than Barboza so if the fight heads to the floor it could be a very tricky situation for The Irish Dragon.
Although it's highly unlikely that either man will get a title shot with a win, an impressive finish will certainly put them in the conversation once Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson finally fight in April.
