10 UFC Fights To Watch In July

6. Josh Emmett Vs. Mirsad Bektic - UFC Fight Night 155

Following an incredible knockout victory over Michael Johnson, surging featherweight Josh Emmett is on the cusp of breaking into the title picture. However, he'll have to beat the extremely dangerous Mirsad Bektic to do so.

Training out of Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California, Emmett has a solid wrestling game, but usually uses it to keep the fight standing so he can land vicious power shots on his opponents. He might need to be a little more flexible with his game plan against Bektic who is an extremely talented wrestler in his own right.

While he probably doesn't have as much power as his opponent, Bektic does have a great fight IQ. This helps him significantly when he's mixing up his striking and grappling. The problem with Bektic is that it seems like he never really fulfilled his potential as a fighter.

This is mostly down to injuries keeping him out of action, but he should be much further up the rankings than he currently is. An impressive win for either man should see them inserted into the 145lb title picture.
