As stated earlier, the UFC's 155lb division is absolutely stacked from top to bottom and this fight is another reminder of that. While every other fight on this list is pretty competitive, this one is a little bit of a showcase fight for Dagestani destroyer, Islam Makhachev.
Despite losing to Adriano Martins at the beginning of his UFC tenure, the talented lightweight has looked stellar in all of his other outings inside the Octagon. His scintillating knockout over UFC veteran Gleison Tibau and his slick armbar victory over Kajan Johnson cemented him as a fighter to look out for at lightweight.
Much like his teammate and current UFC champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Makhachev is well versed in all aspects of the sport. However, it's his ground game and his ability to transition into submissions seamlessly which is truly impressive. While Tsaurukyan isn't a bad fighter and has enough skills to belong inside the Octagon. However, he's not quite on the level of Makhachev which is likely to spell doom for him once they touch gloves.
