UFC Fight Night: Covington Vs. Lawler Predictions

2. Jim Miller Vs. Clay Guida

Don't adjust your calendars, MMA fans. You're not reading the above title wrong. We're actually about to watch longtime MMA and UFC veterans, Clay Guida and Jim Miller, fight each other in a co-main event in 2019.

It's insane that these two have been in the UFC for 24 years combined, with Guida making his debut in 2006 and Miller two years later, yet are only fighting now. It just goes to show how consistent they've been throughout the years, despite suffering setbacks along the way. While both men are certainly in the twilight of their careers, they still have most of the skills that brought them to the table.

Guida keeps a relentless pace that he combines with a pretty basic wrestling attack from against the cage. While that might seem easy to plan for, The Carpenter has beaten a who's who of fighters just by doing that. However, the biggest knock on Guida is that he rarely finishes opponents.

Miller is a bit different as he offers far more on the feet and is a lot more active on the ground when searching for submissions. He really is a tricky individual and poses more problems than Guida does. Considering he's got far more weapons to finish the fight, Miller looks like the obvious choice.
