UFC's 5 Biggest Winners And Losers In November

1. Stock Down: Ronaldo Souza

After coming so close to a middleweight title shot, but ultimately falling just short on numerous occasions, Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza decided to try his luck at light heavyweight.

Given that the light heavyweight division is a bit shallow in terms of star power at the moment, an established fighter like 'Jacare' could easily sneak into the title picture with a win or two.

However, the 39-year-old former Strikeforce champ fell short in his light heavyweight debut against Jan Blachowicz this month.

On the plus side, it was a competitive fight which leads one to believe he can hang at light heavyweight, particularly given that he was facing the division's sixth-best fighter (at least according to the UFC's official rankings). Still, it's hard to ignore the fact that he's 1-3 over the course of his last four fights.

Given his advanced age, Souza's most recent split decision loss makes it increasingly likely that he will go down as perhaps the best fighter to never get a UFC title shot. It's hard to believe a man who holds wins over Vitor Belfort, Chris Weidman, and Robbie Lawler hasn't got a crack at UFC gold, but it's true.

Souza turns 40 this December, and in light of recent events, his margin for error is non-existent in 2020 if he hopes to have any shot at fighting for a UFC belt before he retires.
