10 Doctor Who Stars You Didn’t Know Were In HUGE Movies
9. Peter Capaldi (Bean)
Does it get more British than a crossover between Doctor Who and Mr. Bean?
Rowan Atkinson's bumbling comedy creation has entertained generations of viewers while rarely saying a word, and became so popular that he appeared in two feature films, starting with this one in 1997.
Bean: The Ultimate Disaster Movie whisks our hapless hero off to the United States, where he's charged with guarding a priceless painting. Inevitably, Bean cocks the whole thing up, and has to replace the artwork before anyone can notice he's ruined it.
Even without Atkinson, the film has a fair bit of star power to it. Legendary English actor John Mills gave one of his final performances. A young Sandra Oh turns up, as does the owner of cinema's greatest moustache, Burt Reynolds.
But of course, the reason we're all here is to discuss Peter Capaldi, who plays a character called Gareth at the start of the movie.
Capaldi was an established actor at this point so it's rather odd to see him in such a nothing role with barely any dialogue, but on the plus side, he does sport some rather snazzy glasses here.
