This is one of those rare programmes that is nearly as old as Doctor Who itself.

Sesame Street began airing in 1969, which was six years after Doctor Who started – except it didn't take a massive break in the middle. With over 4,600 episodes in the tank (and counting) and a whopping 222 Emmy awards to its name (and counting!), the adventures of Elmo, Oscar the Grouch, and Cookie Monster have been entertaining and educating children across the world for decades, and long may that continue.

In 2014, the show put out an episode featuring "Numeric Con", the biggest number-loving festival in the world. The Count must've had a heart attack... well, if he had a heart.

A spin on fan conventions like Comic Con, Numeric Con showed several Sesame Street residents in cosplay, including Elmo dressed as Batman, a puppet version of James T. Kirk, and several nods to our favourite show.

One man can be seen in full Tom Baker get-up stepping out of what is clearly meant to be a TARDIS, while two brightly-coloured Daleks threaten to "enumerate" the audience. Makes a nice change from them trying to destroy the universe.

Daleks also featured in Sesame Street spinoff The Furchester Hotel, where they attempted to book a stay "until last Tuesday". Wibbly-wobbly indeed.
