10 Absolute Best Matches WWE Could Present In 2018
1. AJ Styles Vs. Daniel Bryan
We kind of got this match last week on SmackDown, but as with any half-decent bout that goes out on free TV, it ended prematurely thanks to third party interference. As such, it remains very much "on the table", as far as we're concerned.
A possible stumbling block to seeing these two go at it for real, over a long two- or three-month programme, is perhaps the fact that they are both baby-faces - and not line-blurring Roman Reigns/John Cena baby-faces either, but dyed-in-the-wool, kitten-rescuing baby-faces.
Moreover, we can't be totally sure that both men will remain on SmackDown after tonight's Superstar Shake-Up. AJ is still the WWE Champion, granted, but he could be drafted over to Raw before losing the belt to Nakamura a couple of weeks later.
Maybe that's just an overly pessimistic view to take though. Vince gave us AJ versus Nakamura at WrestleMania, and there's no reason that he won't give us this one somewhere down the line as well... right?
