10 Absolute Best Matches WWE Could Present In 2018

3. Daniel Bryan Vs. Kurt Angle

Daniel Bryan has long been viewed as the natural successor to Kurt Angle. Like the Raw general manager, he's an accomplished technician who became a fan favourite partly because he doesn't take himself too seriously.

Unfortunately, their paths have so far been separated by cruel fate. When Bryan joined WWE in 2010, Angle had already moved on to TNA, and by the time the latter returned in 2017 he was two years into his injury-enforced sabbatical.

And while it is probably too late for them to contest an all-time classic of the kind you might have expected from wrestlers of this ilk in their prime - the Olympic gold medalist, though still incredible for his age, is nothing like the performer he was a decade ago - it's still one we'd still absolutely love to see.

It'd pull in a huge amount of interest from wrestling fans of all stripes as well, so the creative team will surely want to pull the trigger on it at some point before it's too late.
