WWF S.T.O.M.P. Series 3 (Space Domination) - Marc Mero

Mero Likeness: 5/10

Savage Likeness: 7/10

Marc Mero may not be the first wrestler to be outshone by his manager, and he won’t be the last, but he is the epitome of the situation. Sable, his ex-wife and Brock Lesnar’s current, totally eclipsed his talent by appealing to the raunchy nature of the late ‘90s wrestling product. It makes total sense that his action figure counterpart would be eclipsed by another bigger star, ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage.

The S.T.O.M.P. line of figures went for the outlandish to the point it stripped superstars of their recognisable brand. Running for three series, the first cast wrestling superstars in actual war zones, the second in an ‘underwater siege’, and the third (featuring Mero) took the battle to outer space.

The figure's bandana, beard, and rather generic face could easily be Savage during his bad and in black WCW run. The silver space accessories also fit the flamboyant and eccentric dress sense of the Macho Man, though not even Savage could rock the action figures clunky post-apocalyptic space suit.
