10 AEW Nightmares That Could Come True In 2023

2. Tony Khan = Onscreen Character

Few wrestling promoters/bookers with a public profile can resist the urge to put themselves on TV. Sometimes, like with Vince McMahon and Eric Bischoff, this works out. Then, there are cases like Vince Russo in WCW when it definitely doesn't. Tony Khan doesn't want to fall into the latter bracket.

It'd be so sh*t if Tony tried to turn himself into a television character next year, but anything is possible. After all, Khan obviously enjoys being front and centre during those press conferences (apart from All Out). However, he doesn't really have a natural flair for being in front of the cameras unless he's talking business.

Basically, it'd blow if Khan tricked himself into thinking he should be some onscreen authority figure, manager or kayfabe character generally. The wrestling world doesn't need some obnoxious owner coming out to hoover up valuable TV time every single week on Dynamite, put it that way.

Stay. Away. From. The. Cameras. Tony.
