10 AEW Wrestlers Poised To Break Out In 2021
2. Anna Jay
Like John Silver, Anna Jay is another one of the success stories from The Dark Order, although if truth be told, she had already made herself relevant in AEW's women's division after her debut five-minute affair with Hikaru Shida.
You see, 'The Star of the Show' utilised all five of those minutes to show everyone what can be achieved in such little time. You could count on one hand the number of matches Jay had participated in prior to the Shida showdown. Being signed to a full-time contract following this performance was step two of the plan. Her quick loss to Abadon was the third and final stage, as it looked like would be Jay squashing an opponent before the swerve.
This is where she joined The Dark Order, and truly became the star of the show she touts herself to be. The 22 August edition of Dynamite proved, as despite being surrounded by huge names such as Cody Rhodes, Jay remained a focal part of the show-closing angle, decking Brandi Rhodes with a killer look.
The QT-Marshall trained performer is yet to have a match go over ten minutes, but there's something special to be had with Anna Jay further down the line. A future Women's World Champion? AEW would be foolish not to.
