10 AJ Styles WWE Matches We Must See

1. Finn Balor

This is the match everyone wants to see now, right? From the very moment the signings of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows began to be whispered around the hallways and corridors of the internet, they were linked with the man who started the Bullet Club in NJPW. The assumption is that the four will be linked to Finn Balor. In fact, it is spoken about as being gospel at this point. Most scenarios for AJ Styles making his debut involve Balor and the oft-desired Balor Club. Balor's experiences in NJPW, along with his long-time relationship with Anderson make this an inevitability. Of course, Styles, Nakamura, Anderson and Gallows arriving in cahoots with Balor would make for some fascinating television. Still, Styles and Nakamura are more than capable of making an impact off their own backs. In fact, even typing that sentence feels a little patronising. Balor Club aside, a match between AJ Styles and Finn Balor would have to suffer something approaching a disaster to be anything less than great. They both work a hybrid style of technical grappling allied with high flying attacks, and the results could be spectacular. It is the Japanese connection that makes this match so mouthwatering. WWE has been acknowledging the four and their history in NJPW as part of the Bullet Club, which leads one to believe that the past would be referenced on WWE TV without problem. Could it be that a future money making story for NJPW has been stolen and will play out on WWE TV? Here's hoping.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
