10 Amazing Signs Wrestling Is Entering A New Boom Period

9. Major Companies Offering Something Different

Both Triple H and Tony Khan can be proud of their respective creative identities; Trips was reared on Vince McMahon's "sports entertainment" drama, whereas Tony takes elements of that but mixes them with a much stricter focus on now-classic indy/Japanese wrestling disciplines.

The fact both promotions offer something different should be applauded.

AEW isn't going the TNA or WCW route by trying to become some watered-down version of WWF/WWE. Say what you will about TK's organisation (and people do, including this writer), but he's done a very solid job of retaining that nuts n' bolts pro wrestling feel. What's more, All Elite champions that style more than WWE.

It's very promising that both WWE and AEW can borrow from one another occasionally without trying to effectively copy each other's homework word-for-word. No-one tuning into Raw/SmackDown or Dynamite/Rampage could get each show confused with the others, and that's something everyone should be happy about.
