10 Amazing Signs Wrestling Is Entering A New Boom Period

8. The Return Of “Danger”

Look at that arrogance above.

On the surface, that word comes with negative connotations, but that's not necessarily fair. Brash characters like MJF and even Roman Reigns should be celebrated in the modern era for what they represent - they've got the same swagger guys like Steve Austin, The Rock and 2019-era Becky Lynch had.

Wrestling fans love that, because this biz is really all about living vicariously through larger-than-life characters who are still somehow grounded in reality (at least sometimes). Currently, both WWE and AEW's products have an air of danger about them, which is honestly really cool.

Comments like, 'Did you see what MJF did on Dynamite?' will become commonplace again the longer this goes on.

AEW has arguably always had balls since launching, but WWE has de-emphasised saccharine PG certification of before and finally figured out how to make that work for them rather than stifling the product. Of course, this could be a reaction to Tony Khan's fighting spirit.
