10 Amazing Signs Wrestling Is Entering A New Boom Period

6. Stadiums Are Now WWE’s Norm

WWE has enjoyed producing occasional stadium shows since the 1980s, but they're the norm in 2023. Fans now expect that tentpole events like Royal Rumble, WrestleMania and SummerSlam will take place in large domes or outdoor venues every year, not traditional 20,000-seater arenas like they used to.

The promotion wouldn't be able to do this if there wasn't a demand for tickets. Triple H, Vince McMahon and other members of WWE management don't need to paper the sh*t out of domes/stadiums like they did back at the 1997 Royal Rumble. No, people want to come along and pay their cash for a cracking experience.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

WWE has done a sparkling job of selling those three letters as a major happening. The UK's Clash At The Castle in 2022 was massive, and despite Money In The Bank being scaled back earlier in the year, they show no signs of stopping any time soon.

That's exciting.
