10 Awesome UFC Fighters Who Went On Terrible Runs
6. Holly Holm
When you held the honour of being the person who usurped Ronda Rousey as UFC's resident Bantamweight badass, you'd have expected the world to be at your feet for the upcoming future.
Yet, even though Holly Holm did achieve the unthinkable and knocked The Baddest Woman on the Planet off of her perch, the fights after that landmark win weren't exactly kind to her.
After going 10-0 in MMA before her first title defence, Holm would go on to lose the belt immediately. She got choked out, courtesy of a Miesha Tate rear-naked choke.
If that wasn't enough to rain on her parade, she would lose four of her next six fights. This included losses to Valentina Shevchenko, Germaine de Randamie, Cris Cyborg and the current Featherweight and Bantamweight champ, Amanda Nunes.
Holm lost every title match she was involved in after defeating Rousey and was scheduled to face Raquel Pennington in October 2019, before pulling out due to injury.
Her fall from grace has been nothing short of spectacular, but she somehow still ranks #3 in the UFC Bantamweight division. So don't expect Holm to be disappearing any time soon.
