9. Christian Becoming World Heavyweight Champion For The First Time
There are few universally beloved wrestlers in the industry but Christian is one of them, a worker that almost every fan of WWE has fond memories of. He is one of the most gifted technicians that WWE's ever had on their books and was capable of producing magnificent work with almost everyone he stepped into the ring with.
Yet, he had never been world champion inside WWE until 2011, being forced to go to TNA to embark on his much deserved main event run before his return to the company in 2009. His victory against Alberto Del Rio for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship following the retirement of his best friend Edge was a beautiful moment, an emotional victory that gave the veteran a major moment to cling onto for the rest of his career.
However, he should have had that moment years before. Upon his return to WWE, he should have immediately been positioned in the main event, using the skills he developed in TNA to become a credible main eventer in his home promotion. Instead, his triumphant victory only happened because of Edge's injury and came later than it ever should have.
