10 Awkward WWE WrestleMania Moments That Still Make Us Cringe

One of the storylines for WrestleMania VII centered around guest interviewer Regis Philbin getting saddled with challenging interviewees. One such segment featured the talk show host speaking with Japanese wrestlers Genichiro Tenryu and Koji Kitao, who were there to take on Demolition.

Being that neither Tenryu or Kitao spoke English, Philbin was unable to communicate with the two men. In an effort to make the bit humorous, the popular television personality decided to belt out Japanese car brands like 'Toyota!' and 'Isuzu!'

Besides the fact that the promo wasn't the least bit funny, it was also racially insensitive. In truth, it was a bad look for both Philbin and WWE. Moreover, it's a corny, borderline racist segment that will make just about any wrestling fan slap their forehead in frustration.
