10 Bad-Ass WCW Gimmicks Wasted On Terrible Wrestlers

7. Ernest "The Cat" Miller

A martial artist in wrestling? Good idea. A James Brown impersonator in wrestling? Interesting idea. If you take the two and put them together, that should be some sort of magic, right? If you throw in a dash of Muhammad Ali-like trash talking, things should have been perfect for Ernest "The Cat" Miller, but they were actually far from it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDgiHgdpPjw Miller was actually able to get over through his promos and his dancing, but when he actually wrestled, the wheels fell off, and everyone could see he wasn't ready. He wasn't even supposed to be a wrestler. He was Garett Bischoff's karate trainer when Garett was a kid. Eric Bischoff saw how Miller was, and invited him to join WCW. That was it. There's no crazy story to it. Had he been teaching karate to just about anyone else in the world, we wouldn't even know who Ernest Miller was, but because he was teaching a Bischoff, here we are.
