7. JBL's Hat
When Ron Simmons was fired by Smackdown General Manager Paul Heyman, Bradshaw chose not to stand by his friend.
Instead, he repackaged himself as John "Bradshaw" Layfield, a rich New York transplant who had made a fortune in the stock market. Implausibly, JBL soon became one of the hardest-pushed wrestlers on the Smackdown brand, immediately finding himself in a feud with WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero.
Still, Eddie wasn't about to start taking the new Bradshaw seriously just because of his inflated sense of self. Shortly after JBL first set his sights on the WWE Champion, Guerrero stole his cowboy hat. JBL was furious, of course, and confronted Guerrero, demanding his hat back.
Things didn't go as JBL planned. Eddie brought the hat to the ring and, as JBL waited by the entranceway, the WWE Champion began wiping the hat on his behind. He then took the hat around the ringside area, letting fans in the front row spit or pour drinks in it. Finally, as JBL shouted in protest. Eddie stomped on the hat, completely ruining it.
Of course, JBL immediately got another hat, but it probably cost a pretty penny.
