10 Best Booked Wrestling Babyfaces Of 2020
7. Darby Allin
Looking at Darby Allin's record on AEW Dynamite, 2020 may not have been the best year for the daredevil. However, this proves that losses can build a babyface just as well as wins do.
Allin gained a big PPV win over Sammy Guevara at Revolution and his momentum propelled him into the TNT Title Tournament, which led to a loss to Cody. At the next AEW PPV, Double Or Nothing, Darby competed in the first Casino Ladder match, a match that it seemed he was going to win. But again, he came up short, losing the opportunity to a debuting Brian Cage.
After a short break from Dynamite, Allin returned to the main event scene by attacking Brian Cage after his AEW Title match. From there, the rocket has been strapped to Allin. He gained a victory over Ricky Starks and had a championship match against Jon Moxley.
The biggest win came at Full Gear in which he finally managed to beat Cody, specifically for the TNT Championship. This was a crowning moment for Darby, and it cemented him as one of the main players in AEW. More than anything, it was the culmination of his arch, and a great payoff for the best underdog babyface in wrestling today.
