10 Best Booked Wrestling Babyfaces Of 2020
6. Sasha Banks
WWE programming has a strange relationship with long term storytelling. On one hand they have very short feuds that feel like they need more fire such as Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Roode, whereas some are drawn out so long that they feel redundant such as Rey Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins. That being said, the Sasha Banks/Bayley storyline has been told brilliantly.
After being the highlight of SmackDown as a heel for months on end, Bayley turned on Sasha on the 4 September episode This turned Sasha face and has led to her being the top babyface on the blue brand. The former friends had a match on 9 October, which "The Boss" won by DQ.
This then led the pair to Hell In A Cell, which was a beautiful spot fest. That's not to do the match a disservice, because it managed to blend both spots and storytelling masterfully, with Sasha finally overcoming Bayley. Despite not having as much time as a babyface, Sasha Bank's face run has shown how important the "title chase" is.
