10 Best British Wrestlers Ever

1. The British Bulldog

There can be little doubt over the man who tops this list. Davey Boy Smith was without doubt the most successful British wrestler of all-time, and he gave British wrestling fans arguably the most iconic moment ever to happen on these shores. It was his greatest success was the company, and it arrived in 1992 at SummerSlam. The event was being hosted at Wembley Stadium in a landmark move by the WWE, and Smith was facing Bret Hart for the Intercontinental Championship. With his compatriots cheering him on, Smith managed to defeat Hart for the belt in a contest that could easily be described as the best match Bret Hart competed in - which is no mean feat. It was certainly the greatest match of Smith's career. His gimmick was blatantly obvious by his name alone. But as The British Bulldog, Smith became one of the most popular and well-liked characters ever to grace a WWE ring. That alone puts him at the very top of this magnificent list of British wrestlers.
