10 Best Champions Of The Worst Titles In Wrestling

7. Steve Austin - WCW Television Championship

WHAT? In the days before that one-word catch phrase rumbled through arenas, a long-haired blonde gentleman by the name of "Stunning" Steve Austin graced the WCW squared circle as their "Television Champion". The WCW Television Championship was essentially a gimmick title that was often defended in matches with short time limits. This allowed heel champions to retain the title by any means necessary, waiting out the timer, and drawing the ire of the crowd, thus building heat for the bad guy. Pretty much every major star of the NWA/WCW held the TV title at some point. Flair, Blanchard, and Arn Anderson to name a few. If we must pick one though, it would be the man who shaved the blonde locks, jumped ship to WWE and became one of the biggest superstars the wrestling world has ever known. Steve Austin held the TV title for an impressive 431 days before moving on to much bigger and better things. Why is he the greatest WCW Television Champion ever? Come on...because he said so, and that's the bottom line.
