10 Best Debut Editions Of WWE PPVs

6. Rebellion - 1999

The card featured no less than 11 matches which left the crowd in London spoilt. Brace yourselves: Christian defeated Crash Holly in a dark match, Jeff Jarrett defeated D'Lo Brown for the Intercontinental Championship, The Godfather defeated Gangrel, Val Venis defeated Mark Henry, Ivory defeated Luna Vachon, Tori and Jacqueline for the Women's Championship, Chris Jericho defeated Road Dogg, Chyna defeated Jeff Jarrett, Kane defeated The Big Show in a No Disqualification bout, The British Bulldog defeated X-Pac, Edge and Christian defeated The Acolytes and Hardcore Holly and Crash Holly in a tag team triangle match before Triple H successfully defended his WWF Championship against The Rock in a steel cage match. Phew. The highlights of the night came in the Road Dogg Chris Jericho match as the pair put on a compelling grudge match while the tag team triangle match kept to the traditions of the time by being as hard hitting and fast paced as ever. The WWF Championship match was a solid affair that had chaos at a premium. It almost descended into farce however as a plethora of individuals interfered.
