This one is understandably forgotten a lot more than the main event matches on the list, but Lance Storm and Edge put on a fantastic opener for the Intercontinental Championship. Guided by the more experienced hand of Storm, the future Rated R Superstar was able to showcase his potential in the best singles match of his career up until that point. Although potentially the least spectacular of all the matches on this list, it was a carefully thought out contest delivered in a slick and technically sound fashion. Christian made a run in to "help" his partner (between whom frictions were building), accidentally spearing his bro after Storm dived out of the way.
