4. Edge Vs. Kane Vs. Alberto Del Rio Vs. Rey Mysterio (2010)
A Fatal Four-Way TLC match for Edge's World Heavyweight Championship, this took the free-for-all manner of a multi-man ladder-centric match and managed to insert some fairly fresh drama into the tired format. What the match lacked in psychology it more than made up in excitement and freshness, with the variety of combatants working in its favour. There are a variety of great spots throughout, including a delicious Asai Moonsault into a Tombstone Piledriver with Rey and Kan (guess who performed which move). The tables are involved strongly towards the end, with Del Rio going through a number of them at ringside before Kane eats the final one to allow Edge the change to clamber up the ladder and regain his title. The match really benefited from taking a lot of the action outside the ring, which minimised that irritating aspect of multi-man ladder matches where the wrestlers take turns lying comatose at ringside. It gave a new element to the match, as well as ranking up the tension and vitriol in a match between four opponents with no beef outside of the desire to be world champion.
