10 Best MMA Fighters Of The 2010s

2. Daniel Cormier

Decade Record: 21-2-(1)

Has there ever been a fighter that embodies the people's champion quite like Daniel Cormier?

Cormier was a late bloomer in the world of mixed martial arts, not having his first professional fight until the age of 30. He was quick to make up for lost time though, amassing an undefeated 8-0 record in Strikeforce in a three-year period that included winning the Heavyweight Grand Prix.

He would make an immediate impact upon arriving in the UFC, knocking over veterans Frank Mir and Roy Nelson in his first two fights before dropping down to Light Heavyweight. A win over legend Dan Henderson set him up for a shot at the title, kicking off one of the greatest rivalries in sporting history with Jon Jones.

Although he would lose that fight, he would still get his hands on the belt in his next fight, defeating Anthony Johnson to win the vacant strap, and going on an eight-fight undefeated streak that included moving back up to heavyweight and winning that title from Stipe Miocic at the age of 39 to hold two belts at once.

Cormier is the only fighter in UFC history to successfully defend titles in two different divisions, as well as being one of the very few multi-divisional AND simultaneous division champions.
