10 Best Non-Chamber Matches In WWE Elimination Chamber History
8. Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show (2013)
Alberto Del Rio has been doing perfectly fine for himself in his post-WWE career, but it is still easy to get a little nostalgic whenever viewing a match of his when he is accompanied by Ricardo Rodriguez. They were a fun pair.
This opening match for the 2013 edition of the Elimination Chamber event was for Del Rio's World Heavyweight Championship. It proved to be a smart start to the show thanks to the athleticism of both men.
One of the more memorable spots from this match was when Big Show attempted a powerbomb against Del Rio. Alberto was able to reverse it and pulled off the world's largest hurricanrana.
There were lots of talk during this match from the announcers about how Alberto had never pinned Big Show, yet the match ended via submission when Del Rio made the big man tap out thanks to his Cross Armbreaker.
Del Rio's win set him up to defend his title against Jack Swagger at WrestleMania. Swagger earned his title shot that same night when he was crowned the victor of his Elimination Chamber match.
