10 Best Possible Last Words Of Vince McMahon

3. "It Was Meant To Be The Big Boss Man"

King Of The Ring 1999 Finish Ladder

A simple moment of catharsis, that's all we're ever really after with Vince McMahon.

Just tell us - categorically tell us, rather than leaving the thought hanging like the briefcase itself. The briefcase, for the uninitiated, swung above Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince and Shane McMahon at King Of The Ring 1999 as the trio fought for total ownership of the company.

Having battered and bantered off the Father and Son combo quite enough, Austin climbed the ladder only to be greeted by a case betraying gravity. Sure enough, the opposite occurred when Vince and Shane shimmied up later on. 'The Rattlesnake' had been caught out by some Corporate jiggery pokery, and it was never paid off.

Or was it?

On the Raw before the pay-per-view, The Big Boss Man bizarrely turned face on the Corporate Ministry, only to turn back on the Raw immediately after. In a match that stipulated no interference from any McMahon ally, this theoretically left him in the clear to do the dirty. But the company never confirmed it, and moved on immediately.

Please, Da-er...Vince. Pay that off before you buy the farm.
