8. Steve Austin Wins Title From Kane

Winning the title at WrestleMania 14, Steve Austin's first reign as WWF Champion shockingly came to an end at the King Of The Ring Pay-Per-View in June, 1998. Beaten by Kane in a 'First Blood' match, Austin was handed the chance to win back the belt the following night on Raw.

Few fans had seen Kane's win coming, but given that he only really had a hand exposed, along with his chin and the top of his head, it made sense that 'The Rattlesnake' would find it difficult to make his opponent bleed in such a stipulation match. Stone Cold fans didn't really need to worry though, their hero would win the belt back just 24 hours after the King Of The Ring.

Overcoming the odds against the newest phenomenon in the WWF, Austin would kickstart his second Heavyweight Title win in literally stunning fashion, winning the belt back off Kane. Looking back, it seems like a big moment that Austin was able to regain the strap so quickly, and the fact there's a major title change makes the June 29, 1998 edition of Raw feel huge.
