10 Best Rock 'N' Sock Connection WWE Moments
7. The Double Elbow
Speaking of the People's Elbow, if you ignored the ridiculous length of time that the opponent had to lay on the mat in order to receive it, it was arguably the move that got the best crowd reaction of this era.
When the Rock 'n' Sock Connection first formed, they utilised a double team version of this to win their very first titles.
In the match briefly mentioned previously, they had The Big Show isolated in the ring and down on the mat with one standing on either side of him. They both pause for a second before the Rock seemingly "permits" Mankind to assist with his finisher.
In the kindest way possible, despite his many accolades and real hardcore pedigree, it's fair to say that Mick Foley has never been the most aesthetically athletic man on the planet. But to see him here - mirroring The Rock's mannerisms and the two men hitting the opposite sides of the ropes at hugely different speeds - only to meet again in the middle and deliver a double elbow for the pinfall win...
It may have been the moment that everyone realised just how well this partnership was going to work.
