10 Best Tag Teams In Wrestling Right Now

Jimmy Jey the Usos
Moustache Mountain vs Moss & Slater

AKA Moustache Mountain, the team of Tyler Bate and Trent Seven share an awesome chemistry developed when the latter trained the former.

Dave Meltzer triggered WWE fans everywhere, and rightly so, when he awarded Bate with a "mere" ****3/4 for his stunning United Kingdom Title loss to Pete Dunne at NXT TakeOver: Chicago. On the night, he was a ***** performer, and it's a standard he and Seven have approached regularly with their tandem work in WCPW and PROGRESS.

Their fusion of strength and technicality is tested, but there is a uniqueness to their act in that they rival the Revival for inventive tag techniques. The showoff bluster of their polite standing suplex exchange is borderline perfect; in the face role, it's charming; as heels, it becomes an ingratiating circle jerk. Their men throwing men at other men bit can veer too closely into comedy territory. You can see the gears whirring behind the machinations at times, stretching suspension of disbelief, so it's just as well that they compensate with nigh-on impossible feats of strength. Bate can perform a swing with a two-storey house on his back.

A stint in NXT together is a mouthwatering prospect, and it's not as if WWE is doing anything with their hastily cobbled-together UK arm.
