10 Best Tag Teams In Wrestling Right Now

5. War Machine

War Machine - the bearded monster Hanson and shaven-headed psycho Raymond Rowe - are an awesome throwback to the monster hoss teams of yore.

While not as iconic as the Road Warriors, as sacrilegious as it may read, their matches are more entertaining (at least viewed through a modern lens). They lack the emotional range of, say, The Revival Vs. #DIY bouts from TakeOvers: Brooklyn II and Toronto, but that's probably missing the point. The beauty of War Machine is in their inhuman beast mode. Hanson is a star pupil in the modern class of almost impossibly agile behemoths. In a sense, he is the perfect interface between Rip Rogers and the the #…Dive division. His aerial skills are so good that they barely require the “…for a big man” qualifier. His power game is as brutal, and perfectly minimal, as you'd expect from a man of his immense mass.

Rowe, meanwhile, is the fuel to Hanson’s chassis - the man who throws men into his path for their most memorable and destructive spots, but who also provides much of the connective narrative tissue between them.

TL;DR for the uninitiated: War Machine - who like the Briscoe Brothers can be seen on upcoming WCPW events - are the Authors of Pain if they were actually awesome, and not painstaking experiments comprised of smoke and mirrors.
