10 Best Talkers On WWE’s Full Time Roster
3. Kevin Owens
On Kevin Owens’ first night on WWE's main roster, he shared the ring and traded verbal barbs with John Cena. And he hasn’t looked back since.
KO can switch from funny to sinister in seconds, making him a hit with the hardcore audience and yet detested by the younger fanbase. He proved firstly with Chris Jericho and now with Sami Zayn that he is equally good bouncing off a double act partner as he is as the selfish ‘Prizefighter’. Jericho was rightly lauded for the hilarity of his latest run, but Owens improvised brilliantly alongside Y2J to make their weekly segments on RAW last year unmissable.
A caveat to Owens’ natural comedic instinct is that sometimes it undermines the seriousness of his character, and his best work is usually when he is at his most sadistic.
The slow and deliberate delivery, accompanied by the merciless stare down the camera lens, signals the arrival of Owens in full heel mode - and nobody plays intense as well as him.
