10 Best Team Players In Survivor Series History
1. Randy Orton
Earlier I mentioned that Big Show had the joint-most eliminations in Survivor Series history, and Randy Orton is the man with whom he shares that accolade. That factoid is only a fraction of Orton’s overall Survivor Series résumé though.
On top of his 13 eliminations of Rob Van Dam, Shawn Michaels (twice), Edge, Triple H, Kofi Kingston, Batista, Mark Henry, Christian, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, Hunico and Alberto Del Rio, he’s also finished as the sole survivor in three successive years (another record he shares, this time with the Ultimate Warrior) while he’s also been listed as a team captain on a whopping four different occasions.
Plus, he was a co-captain alongside Edge in 2006, making him arguably the most seasoned veteran, as well as one of the most successful, when it comes to the Survivor Series elimination match.
It’s a pretty incredible record, and one that makes him my pick as the best team player in Survivor Series history—something that could well bode nicely for Team SmackDown at this year’s PPV.
