10 Best UFC Fighters Of The Decade
7. Daniel Cormier
For the second time on this list, we're gladly highlighting the impact of one of UFC's genuine nice guys over the last decade. But, it's Daniel Cormier's outstanding output inside the Octagon and not his positive demeanour outside of it which earns him his place as one of the Fighters of the Decade.
DC debuted in the UFC in 2013 and quickly set about making a name for himself in the company with Heavyweight victories over Frank Mir and Roy Nelson, followed by Light Heavyweight wins over Patrick Cummins and Dan Henderson.
Those latter two results forced Cormier into Light Heavyweight title contention and one of the rivalries of the decade was kick-started after he was announced as Jon Jones' next title challenger.
Cormier's career in the UFC would hit its first speed bump after losing to Jones, but he would quickly recover with a string of notable scalps in the form of Anthony Johnson (winning the vacant Light Heavyweight gold), Alexander Gustafsson and Anderson Silva.
He would then lose out to Jones yet again (though this loss would eventually be ruled a no contest due to Jones' failed drug test) before being reinstated as Light Heavyweight Champion and jumping back up to Heavyweight to claim Stipe Miocic's title - becoming a double champ in the process.
Cormier hasn't had it all his own way during this decade, but his fantastic record, title wins and ever impressive ability as a commentator/analyst have all helped cement him as one of the UFC's standout performers over the last ten years.
