10 Best Wrestlers Under 30 In The World Today

4. Hiromu Takahashi - 27

Hiromu Takahashi
NJPW

Hiromu Takahashi is a lunatic. Nobody else competes with such a flagrant disregard for their own health and well-being as the 'Ticking Time Bomb,' who spent the first half of 2017 as NJPW's Junior Heavyweight ace.

This period spawned a string of Match Of The Year candidates against guys like KUSHIDA, Dragon Lee, and Ricochet, and while a lacklustre Best Of The Super Juniors tournament took some of the wind out of his sails, Hiromu remains one of New Japan's most captivating performers.

Mixing stablemate Tetsuya Naito's laid-back swagger with unhinged explosiveness between the ropes, Takahashi has perfected his character. His charisma is so infectious that recently made Daryl, a tiny stuffed cat, one of the most over things in NJPW, and when the Bullet Club's Bad Luck Fale tore the poor little kitty to pieces, he immediately became the internet's most hated heel.

As far as his ring work goes, Takahashi more than lives up to his 'Time Bomb' nickname. Fast, unpredictable, and totally out of control, he brings a real sense of danger that few can match, and certainly isn't shy of taking massive bumps. This style will inevitably take a toll on his body, but for now, watching Hiromu is an exhilarating experience.
