In what is a sleeper of a presentation, Chasing the Magic is a fantastic look at the history of WWE’s best current commentator, Nigel McGuinness.

Beginning with his early love of the sport, and his memories from spectating SummerSlam 1992 as one of the 80,000 fans inside Wembley Stadium, McGuinness is quite the storyteller. He goes on to discuss his in-ring career and his rise in ROH.

McGuinness poignantly reflects on his unsuccessful entry into WWE, his time in TNA, and finally his hepatitis diagnosis, which led to his retirement.

McGuinness still has mixed feelings about the path his career took, and that is conveyed so well. The NXT commentator tells his story so well, it is hard not to feel emotional when there still seems to be a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

Concluding with his work as a commentator, this documentary is nothing short of magic.
